Tenable and Siemens Energy expand their collaboration to improve OT security in the energy industry. Tenable OT Security is integrated by Siemens as a NIDS into the Omnivise T3000 control system, which enhances the current vulnerability management and asset discovery processes. This partnership also includes Tenable-powered Omnivise OT Security.
The partnerships between Tenable and Siemens Energy combine OT and cybersecurity expertise to tackle a critical issue facing the energy industry: safeguarding a dynamic asset base that connects the digital and physical realms. Workplaces in the energy sector may have specialised equipment configurations from several vendors as well as an ever-changing array of networked digital devices. Companies risk having cybersecurity blind spots and greater risk in the digital and physical networks that produce and move gasoline and energy if they don’t keep up with the rapid advancement of new gadgets and threats.
Marty Edwards, Deputy CTO for OT/IoT at Tenable, stated, “Siemens Energy has emerged as a leader in securing energy work sites and brings deep OT knowledge to cybersecurity challenges.”
According to Leo Simonovich, Vice President and Global Head of Industrial Cyber and Digital Security at Siemens Energy, “Tenable OT Security provides much-needed visibility into the cyber health of OT systems that sit at the heart of energy businesses.”
