Zscaler has unveiled its 2024 AI Security Report, leveraging insights from over 18 billion AI transactions on its Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange cloud security platform between April 2023 and January 2024. The report, compiled by Zscaler ThreatLabz researchers, sheds light on enterprises’ adoption and use of AI/ML tools, identifying trends across various sectors and geographies. It explores how businesses navigate the evolving AI landscape and address security challenges associated with AI tools.
The report emphasises enterprises’ need to secure their transformation through generative AI (GenAI) in a dual approach: adopting GenAI tools within their operations under a Zero Trust framework and using them to counter new AI-driven threats. The integration of AI into business processes has significantly increased, as evidenced by the nearly 600% rise in AI tool transactions analysed from September 2023 to January 2024.
Deepen Desai, Chief Security Officer at Zscaler, highlighted the critical role of data in this new era of AI, stating, “Data is the lifeblood of every enterprise and the gold of this new era in the AI revolution.” He elaborated on Zscaler’s unique approach to combating AI threats with AI solutions, facilitated by the vast amount of daily signals processed by the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange and the integration of Avalor Data Fabric. This strategy positions Zscaler to enhance Zero Trust security across enterprises effectively.
