Darren Thomson was named by Commvault as the new Field Chief Technology Officer for India and the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions.
With industry-leading threat detection and quick recovery capabilities, this new addition to Commvault’s team of Field CTOs significantly strengthens their cyber resilience products and ushers in a new era of data security.
Thomson, who has worked in the technology sector for more than 30 years, brings to his current position a wealth of technical knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and business savvy. Throughout his career, he has effectively managed international teams and projects in fast-paced work situations.
Before joining Commvault, Thomson was a prominent member of One Identity’s product marketing team, which specialized in identity and access management. His time at Lloyds of London and CyberCube also had a big impact on how the cyber insurance market was shaped. In addition, Thomson oversaw 200 technicians in Symantec’s CTO Office for the EMEA region and had managerial positions at Veritas.

Richard Gadd was named by Commvault in October as the company’s new Senior Vice President for the EMEA and India region. His role will be to manage the company’s efforts to offer multinational corporations strong cyber resilience solutions that protect against modern cyber threats and ease data recovery.
