NEC Asia Pacific (NEC APAC) has partnered strategically with Securonix. This collaboration aims to enhance the technological prowess and safety measures of NEC’s Managed Services Business Unit, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and security in the digital age.

The urgency of this alliance is underscored by warnings from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore about the escalating risks of cyber threats as digital transformation accelerates across the region. Phishing attacks, which deceive employees into disclosing sensitive information, have been highlighted as a particularly insidious cyber threat, leading to potential data and financial losses and operational disruptions. This trend underscores the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures.

Facing various cyber threats across multiple domains, public and private sector organisations have been challenged to protect their operations adequately. NEC’s collaboration with Securonix aims to close this security gap, equipping customers with advanced tools and swift response capabilities to tackle emerging cyber threats effectively. The partnership also ensures organisational resilience through comprehensive business continuity planning during cyber incidents.

The alliance between NEC and Securonix is poised to deliver substantial benefits to NEC’s customer base, including improved operational visibility, cost efficiencies, and expedited response to cybersecurity incidents. Leveraging state-of-the-art technology from Securonix, the partnership will enhance the detection and management of potential cyber threats, enabling proactive threat mitigation and streamlined incident response. Furthermore, the collaboration will see Securonix providing extensive support to NEC, from partner and customer onboarding to the daily operational management of the platform, ensuring a tailored approach to NEC’s specific security needs.

Job Chan, Vice President of NEC APAC, emphasised the partnership’s role in supporting customers to navigate and counteract cybersecurity challenges, ensuring uninterrupted business operations. He highlighted integrating Securonix’s technology into NEC’s strategy as a pivotal step towards augmenting their cybersecurity offerings, ultimately deepening customer trust through a comprehensive security-as-a-service model.

Securonix’s innovative technology, which integrates SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), UEBA (User and Entity Behaviour Analytics), and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) into a unified solution, represents a significant advancement in the cybersecurity domain. This next-generation solution is in high demand, signalling a transformative shift in cybersecurity.

Ajay Biyani, Vice President, APJ, India, Middle East & Africa at Securonix, reflected on the strategic alliance as a milestone in their commitment to enhancing cyber resilience and spurring growth in the APMEA market. Combining NEC’s market presence with Securonix’s advanced SIEM capabilities, the partnership is well-positioned to address emerging cyber threats, providing unmatched expertise and innovative technologies to protect organisations.
