Zscaler announces major advancement in AI for cybersecurity with strategic Avalor integration

Zscaler

Zscaler has announced a major advancement in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) within cybersecurity through its latest collaboration with Avalor. This partnership marks the integration of Zscaler’s Zero Trust ExchangeTM, which processes over 400 billion transactions daily, with Avalor’s Data Fabric for Security. The latter brings to the table more than 150 pre-built integrations, setting a new standard for proactive vulnerability identification and prediction, as well as operational efficiency enhancements.

This fusion of technologies is expected to revolutionize AI capabilities in cybersecurity, enabling organizations to more effectively mitigate risks, optimize performance, and move towards zero-touch operations. The initiative underscores Zscaler’s commitment to leveraging its vast data resources to pioneer AI-driven solutions, including Zscaler Risk360 and Zscaler Business Insights. These platforms aim to redefine the benchmarks for proactive cybersecurity and business intelligence.

Jay Chaudhry, the CEO, Chairman, and Founder of Zscaler, emphasized the critical role of data in AI’s effectiveness, highlighting how the integration enhances the ability to pinpoint vulnerabilities and prevent breaches with unparalleled accuracy. “AI is only as good as the underlying data,” Chaudry remarked, underscoring the unique position of Zscaler’s security cloud as the largest and most relevant training ground for security-specific large language models (LLMs).

Avalor’s Data Fabric for Security stands as a pioneering solution in ingesting, normalizing, and unifying data across security and business systems to generate actionable insights and analytics. This expansion of Zscaler’s platform with Avalor’s technology aims to elevate enterprise security to new heights, allowing for automated AI-driven analytics and decision-making in real-time, without the cumbersome processes of data aggregation and collection.

Raanan Raz, Avalor’s co-founder and CEO, shared the vision behind their Data Fabric for Security, “We have long understood the importance of making sense of all the disparate security data sources within an organization.” The integration with Zscaler’s proprietary data and Avalor’s support for 150 third-party sources is poised to enhance their Unified Vulnerability Management (UVM) capabilities and foster the development of new applications for broader cyber protection insights.
